Default S2ki Trackday - Donington - Saturday 16th June 2012

Ok...

I'm proposing we share Donington with the Exiges.com guys, and as such, Jonny from BaT has proposed Saturday 16th June. I think this will be a great day, as I know a lot of the Exiges guys and they are a great / friendly bunch who don't take themselves too seriously. Some of the cars will be closely matched, meaning there won't be massive speed differences.

Price is £295 for a full day of Open Pitlane driving.

We need 50 cars between us and Exiges to make this exclusive, so the more the better. As it's a premium time, we can't get any discount but BaT have offered the following to anyone who pre books:

Free garages (shared)
Buy one get one free instruction
Half price BaT Pics of your day on track

Caterham hire is available as usual.

You can book as per normal on the BookaTrack site in the link below (note it's not on there just yet but will be soon)
http://bookatrack.com/-pE_Trackday-Calendar.html

Just click "book" next to the date on the 16th and add to your basket, then checkout.

I'd really like to get a big turnout to this one as Donington is a great track, and it would be nice to share it with the Exiges guys.

Start the list

£300 is a lot of money for one trackday.

I have just spent £650 for six track days (all open pitlane) at:

Anglesey
Oulton
Donnington
Cadwell
Brands
AN Other

I can do these at any time too.

That was with Focused Events.

Why are BaT so expensive?

Weekend dates, and more relevant is the limit on the number of cars. Fewer people means higher costs, but a clearer track.

Ron this has been posted before on BaT event posts and imo it's always an unfair comparison, as LG says.

If you don't like the price, you don't attend, but what you get is low traffic, decent other drivers and open pit lane driving.

This event being peak time of the year, on a weekend, and at a top track, combined with lower numbers than other tracksday companies will accept means a higher price. The weekday / off peak prices are often much lower. Where BaT try and cut us deals is on garages / tuition / photography.

I don't want to get into a debate on this thread.

Any more takers?

No intention of a debate BTW, an actual genuine question

I will do this as didn't manage any last year due to karting commitments. How long do we have to book before BaT throw it out to cars other than exige or S2000's as can't really commit until end of feb?

Cheers for answering that MB, can't wait to get out on track and meet up with a few people again after a quiet one last year.
