Just for reference, what is a good speed to be achieving whilst going under the dunlop bridge?
I'm not asking this to invite anyone to show off, just as a comparison to give me an idea of how far I was off the pace of some of the more experienced track drivers on the day

I suspect that how you perform through craners might be a better indication of how you're doing as the bridge doesn't require alot of skill just a timely heavy foot .

I was hitting an indicated 115mph before braking on the Dunlop straight if that helps.
The max speed is very dependant upon how well Coppice is driven.
Craners is a max of around 100 for me, and that's about my max speed along the pit straight too before braking for Redgate.
HTH.

My speed at the bridge went up from 100mph to 110mph just by taking the different line so i'd say that was a good indication of what sort of speed you should be achieving and falls in line with Simon's 115mph.

There is no such thing on this privately run website.

[QUOTE=Benjamico,Dec 15 2008, 01:41 PM]I meant it to be a guide to my corner/exit speed for the last corner before the bridge as I was thinking all the drivers should have similarly heavy right feet

The speed under the bridge will most likely be determined by the exit from the old hairpin which in turn is influenced by your route through craners and ultimately it all comes back to the entrance into Hollywood. This is the most important corner on the circuit as getting it wrong means you suffer all the way up to Mcleans!
For the record Mr Datalogger says my best speed was 109.0,ph (yes .0)
From other threads (https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...#entry11168370 - in the same car) that seems to be a reasonable ballpark to aim for.
