To be fair, that car was a pig to drive, its owner had a huge off whilst just in front of me (and I was much faster, which really proves the point).
Transpired that it had a knackered rear ball joint which meant that a rear wheel was all over the place, though Tom didn't know that at the time.

To be fair, Tom had warned me that its handling was a bit lairy.

The irony of the incident was that it wasn't the spinning off the track that caused me to go into the tyre wall, it was my desperation to get back on it which meant that when i got the car back on to the tarmac, still going at a fair rate of knots, the front wheels weren't pointing in the direction i thought they were and i ended up sliding off the other side of the track and into the tyre wall.

Thankfully at quite low speed.

One cracked fibreglass wing repair later the car was as good as new and Tom and I are still friends

You're not wrong there.

You're welcome to crash my car any time

My first big accident this year (a collision with my brother) could have been prevented if I'd just let the car spin off.

The first instinct is to try and sort it out. We live and learn!

^ oh that's fine, love driving my car everywhere, daily driven, track ready, i hope i can make it, i think another member here (UK) says he can help me with the conversions (kulo) so it should'nt be a problem, it's just trying to get use to driving on the left-side of the road.

There's a couple of S2000 owners at Mildenhall, and other forces guys dotted around too, I'm sure they would help

Mattx
US NFR S2K
