Looks like I will probably be on-call this weekend and therefore unlikely to make it

OK no diversions necessary. I'll try to post a map here in the next day or two...

This is only ten miles from my house.
I'd love to come, but I'd rather be on the plane that's taking me to Cuba at that time, so I'll go there instead

Map proving problematical but the weather is looking good,.sunny and cold. Top down + wooly hat weather unless you're a poofta with a hard top!

I'm not sure if you are intending to include the Wendover by-pass, but if so, beware - a police van was sitting at the side of that road today!

You a regular to the Green Man? Haha.

IIRC, it attracts a certain client...

Wouls have liked to be there for that drive - Used to live in Ricky and then lived not too far from Towester.

Hope you drove up past Mentmore.

Yep, we went past Mentmore/Chequers. Had a slap up brekkie at the Cafe, ans a pleasent drive home via Silverstone/Stowe/Aston Clinton Chesham etc.

Highlight of the drive was Feathers getting beaten off the lights by a Pink Jazz!

I think my brother knew your sister Emma at school Asterix (Christ Church).

Bloody Hell!

Christchurch as in junior school on the Chorleywood Road? - that's going back some!

I never went there as I was 3 years older than Ems and went straight to Clement Danes.

That road up towards the house at Mentmore is great as it's dead straight for ages.

Did you know that Batman Begins was filmed at Mentmore?

Yeah, it was a brilliant drive! Thanks for putting up with the newbie! I managed to red line it on the way back

Excellent run, and tasty breakfast. Can I go on the next run to Jack's cafe?
