The "Red or Dead" Jockmeet
Four New Formula Red's take to the borders on a wet, muddy day and aggrevate the locals. The first half was cracking fun, some great roads, and good driving by all. It was great to trust the other 3 guys that they hadn't gone into any corners too hot, cos I was using them as a barometer for my own corner entries!
We then went to what I thought was a Pagan pub, only to find that the pictures of The Wicker Man on the wall were because the pub parts of it were filmed there!
Coming home was a bit of a bitch as it got dark, and the locals really didn't want to be overtaken. Oh, and then I ran out of petrol on the M74 and had to limp for 2 miles to Abington services at 50mph to stop the car cutting out!

I shouldn't have suggested Dalbeattie, as it compromised the route, next time it'll be down to the good old EPS (Euan Positioning System to the uninitiated) to decide where we go.

Made a change going somewhere different actually - some nice flat sweepers down there. Did C7BLE follow you up the M74 to Abington then?
I waited for him in Moffat cos I thought he was going up the A701

He shot on ahead of us, as I had to cruise cos I'd been running on fumes for about 30 miles. Then I had to go from 90-70-50 to stop the b*stard wanting to cut out! Beardie drove at a snail's pace up ahead to make sure I got to the services ok (and also cos he was bursting for a pee).
Oh the joys of the S2K comedy fuel guage.
