Oulton Park Trackday - Fri 8th November *

great day! Started off superb with getting my trackday cost back (Trackaction the only company I know that do this lucky dip where a few names get drawn out for a free place )
The Reliant kitten was a real flyer but didn't like the rain when it came!
Had a fantastic tustle with a Westfield (he was so lucky to catch this one as I've seen a few bin it here spectacularly over the years )
Big twitch!
Gutted to see the white S2k in the barrier at Druids. That corner is lethal this time of year.
Other highlight of the day was getting the chance to drive a new 991 Carrera S on the damp roads of tarporley what a car! Instant shove at any speed with flappy paddles. The 15 year old accord seemed quite humble to say the least after riding in the Porsche
Robin on fire (as normal) in the G60 and flew past a number of times (damn that thing is quick!!!)
A big thanks to Steve and the team at Trackaction for putting on another superb day.

Glad you had a good time, Stoney (the sideways Westfield driver) is a mate of mine and he did tell me that he'd lit it up over Deers Leap . Luckily he's a bit of a talent so tends to get away with things that could catch a lot of us out!
Next one looks like being at the start of March so I'll get that rolling when we have the date confirmed.

I was there..... passengering with tailhappy.
Unfortunately, Jonty's car was classic for many RWD cars that start to increase the pace as the track starts to dry. On damp days, there's always a few dings. Druids again takes it's next victim...
There were also other casualties. This 2002 blew its diff after a stint in the morning...
And a 205 Rallye came unstuck elsewhere, and a Westfield snapped his prop on the start finish straight early afternoon.
All in all a good day, sorry about Jontys car though.
Check this cheeky little bugger out.... It was particularly fast! Really sorted little thing, playful in the damp and took some muscling for tailhappy to get past in the Accord Type R. Driver of this was fantastic and loving it.. Have a look on YouTube for Oulton park 8th Nov, you'll see/hear it fly past.
Even had the bloody S switchgear, and gearbox/handbrake.
