Default NE - Cruise to Lakes - Sunday 16th August *

After the abortive Solstice cruise, due to inclement weather. I propose a new attempt.

Meet at Consett again, 9.30am, to set off at 10am.
Refuel if you deign to use BP or Tesco fuel. There is a Shell station half way around too.

The whole journey including lunch stop should be 4-5 hours, traffic/eating depending.

Also will need to choose a stopping point for lunch. We can either do it picnic style, or at a pub.

Cameras a must

Here's the route?

Who's coming?

Hi Bikky,

It looks like a great route with plenty of photo opportunities

We are up for it (Carol doesn't know yet but she'll be fine ).

Obviously being Mid-August we may encounter a bit of traffic but I'm already looking forward to it

We can work out the lunch thing when we have approximate numbers.

Cheers...... Lew

Update...

Unfortunately I can't make it. We're starting ripping out our kitchen just before the bank holiday, for a full replacement, and the builder is coming to do our windows that weekend.

If you guys don't do the trip, well reschedule for late sept early Oct (long after my kitchen is finished)

Yeh same, I think since its quite a lengthy route rather than just a quick short blast then we should get more people. I'm happy to reschedule. Hopefully I'll have fitted my new exhaust by then.

OK, As soon as I know how the kitchen is progressing, I'll set a new date...

And book it out in all diaries

Look forward to the next date when set Bikky

Meanwhile as it's a stunning day, Carol and I have cleared the decks (ie no grand-kids today) we are off over Alston way for a full days blast
