#21
Hi Steve
I shall be going to Lancaster via Stocksbridge on the A628 so our paths will cross.
It is 1hr 20mins ish for me ( traffic permitting) to where you plan to the turn off the A628 onto the A6024 at the woodhead reservior.
I will leave home in good time in the hope of meeting up with you a short way along the A6024 (Woodhead road)

Looks like there are a few places in the first mile of the A6024 that you could stop (a gate on the left after a mile looks best).
Please call my mobile 07949 830020 once you are parked up on the A6024 so I can give you a rough time of arrival.
Did you want to join us for lunch? at Hebdon Bridge?
I have booked a table for 10 poeple with an option for 12. I am sure they won't mind having an extra person.

Hi Steve, so far as I cn tell from the route, which looks really good, the "leg" to Hebdon Bridge is well over 2 hours. Are you planning a stop (or 2) for coffee, photo op or just to stretch legs? Not sure I can concentrate on interesting roads for 2 1/2 hours and with an increasing pain in the backside!

The only part I want to do is Winnat's pass.
I have 4 walkie talkies which should mean we can all talk while driving so if anyone needs to stop we can do easily.
And with my health issues I suspect we will be stopping many times!

Six cars confirmed. I can't wait either.
Sharon has a beauty appt at 3pm and then we are ON THE ROAD !
Um, on another point...
Is it a good idea to check to see if your new luggage fits into the boot of the S before you pack all your clothes in it?
LOL

Hi steve
It looks like a fine day so a good stop off/view point en route could be holme moss car park. (It was the big UK climb of the tour de france route)
