OK, got all my "How's Ade" texts last night when I switched the phone back on and it started working again. Must have dried out
Ade went in for surgery on his Tibial platform which had a bit broken off it, that was screwed back on for him. There was also another fracture, but that was a normal one and nothing serious.
More serious however was the fact that he's also torn his cruciate ligament, they can't do anything about it at the moment as everything is too swollen from the op, so he's gone back to his parents in Paignton for two weeks of being looked after by mumsie Anyone who has ever damaged a cruciate ligament will know how painful it can be, and how it limits what you can do for the rest of your life - no skiing for Ade in Canada (when he moves a couple of hours from Whistler......).
Prognosis is 3 months in a brace, then a further, unspecified time walking with the aid of a stick (which he actually is quite looking forward to as it will allow him to buy a fancy walking cane and look "like a Bond Villain" ).
