Like the sound of that...I'm in.

I remember going round a tight bend on my motorbike near Lyndhurst ...I was scared s**tless when confronted with a ginagarous bull in the middle of the road!

Beaulieu across the forest to Lymington then A337 to Mudeford Quay photoshoot?? if it's sunny? Would take you all to the Yacht Club but I don't think they would understand!

That's not a bad idea. How about a more scenic route from Lymington though: Brokenhurst, Wilverley Plain, past the Rising Sun, Bashley Cross Road and on to the A35?

That sounds even better - bit of forest, could even do the Car Park by the Yacht Clubs in Lymington for a shoot and miss out Mudeford. The road from Brock to Wilverley Plain is very sweet - if unfortunately a 40 limit - that little section over the bridge and up the hill before Wilverley....

as a former New Forest girl I know these roads well (how many times did I do the Burley to Brock run when at college?) Wilverley car park has a tarmac entrance so good place for a photo shoot without covering the cars in (too much) brown mud.

Other option not too far from there is the cricket pitch at Burley for a photo shoot next to the primary school - almost bound to have ponies there to add to the atmosphere! And close to exits for home travel.

Anyone interested in a convoy to Beaulieu - I'm leaving from Bransgore to get there in the morning with 2 other S! Would be good to have a few more. Perhaps meet at the Cat and Fiddle?

LadyB - as you're a former New Forest girl, tell me where the nearest station is for the train to Bristol? My son will be with me, and he needs to go back to Bristol after the meeting.

I can answer as a "New Forest Boy" - regular trains from Brockenhurst then change at Southampton

Lady B - if you are coming through Lymington I will join the convoy there

Brockenhurst is probably the best bet. Regular trains to Southampton Central, which will allow him to change onto the Portsmouth-Cardiff route for Bristol.
