Lotus eaters.....
Just wanted to say thanks for the day - the kartig was fun and it was nice to see people out on a good sunny day. Seems it was the sunniest day of the year and yet we get it in December. Now how does that work?
BTW my helmet is not just a red crioss, it's actually St George's cross.
Karting was obviously the highlight for several reasons:
1) Winning - most number of laps, quickest lap time and highest average speed
2) Watching Lee try to shunt me as I lapped him, braking so he missed me and then stuffing it into the barriers
3) The attitude was generally very cool, especially those who didn't want to play silly buggers and just let the faster people through so not having to battle with shunting except Lee of course
4) Watching the pit guy get hit by a driverless kart in the pits and then lecture us on safety

Despite having been there before we (unwisely) decided to follow the Garmin route which insisted that the pub was on the hard-shoulder of the A1M

Always good to see you Chris, but I still think Jo in Her Andy Pandy jump suit was the better driver
Anyway first time I have driven a gokart and I am up for more.

Cut you up, piffle, from the man overtaking on the ambers
I had a real laugh with the karting, really enjoyed it - much more fun than when it gets too testosteroney and people just push you out the way - that just hurts !!
Shame we couldn't sit together at lunchtime, was looking forward to chatting to people I hadn't met before, but it was really good to catch up with Kay again
There might just have been a grudge match going on with Kelk and I well spotted MQ
