Essex Odyssey No11

Nice to see you to Hammy, and be jealous of your plans for the near future.
Yes the "Only way is Essex" drag strip was funny, and I do get the feeling if we were not being social some of us might have been whizzing up and down also, but of course our cars are not in the same league as the RR sports. Aston Martins. Golf VR32 and Movano Vans that were evident on the strip.
A proper meet, right next to the strip, noise , fumes and cars what more could you want, oh and some nice chat and banter with great people, Thanks everyone for coming especially those who came some distance AE , it make's it worth while organizing.
Where Next?????????????

Yes, we were in the heart of TOWIE territory. Longy had followed one of the main protagonists in his Range Rover earlier in the day. Driving through Brentwood I played my latest game of, “Is it a mini-dress or a playsuit?“ I’m interested because I love to see young girls wearing playsuits and have been trying to get one for my granddaughter. Thought I had spotted one but was mistaken as the draught from AE’s car resulted in a flash of knickers.
Well done hammy for picking an outside table yards from that busy junction. We were in our element shrouded in exhaust fumes, our petrolhead banter often being drowned out by exuberant launches from the lights.
The food was lovely. AE, who showed great commitment travelling all the way from MK, was happy because he could smoke at the table. Our meal was accompanied by a movie, on Sandy’s new pink iPad, of the catwalk debut of the fantastic dress that she had created out of flowers, leaves and grasses.
Lovely that curren and his wife dropped by. Thanks Chip, enjoy your hols. Hope that hammy posts up about his forthcoming Alpine adventure.
I got my sheep’s parsley shot but sadly it is OOF. Going to post it anyway. It gives a flavour of Essex, away from the fleshpots, bathed in the late evening sunshine. We are approaching the Grade II listed, late 19th century, formerly steam powered, Black Mill at Navestock.
Shame that Saz couldn't make it. She says that she wishes she could have come as my passenger but finds it difficult to get away on weekday evenings.

Good to see you all and have a cracking time Chip and Sandy!!!
I pulled up at the Nags Head lights today and a bright yellow F50 was sitting there waiting. Just as I got my camera ready he blasted off the lights past the pub towards the M25 roundabout. Now that would have made the windows rattle

Thanks for a lovely soirée, CHIP. Sorry I had to leave early, would have like to have stayed, but a long trip home, and still suffering a bit of tiredness from my trip and mad work!
