I guess that is the judgement that is needed.. a car with less power won't be able to get pull past the Honda on the straights..
I had a local hero in a golf/polo following me on the GP circuit and of course I was always pulling a big distance on the straights.. however by the exit of the next corner he had caught up.. I let him by - despite keeping with him on the next straight.. but I never saw him again on the rest of the north circuit.

I'm always very quick to let people past, partly because I'm nice, but mostly because I want to concentrate on what I'm doing and not have to worry about people behind.
On the Ring, knowing the circuit and driver skill is everything and there's little point thinking you ought to be faster than others because of the car they're in, or vice versa.

Also it may look like a Civic, but it might have an S/C. Or it might be a 3 series compact, but upon inspection has an M3 engine and running on cut slicks...
Lots of wolves in sheeps clothing at the ring.

Nope, but did another 10 laps on GT4 today. back to sub 8 minute times. Shame real life isn't as forgiving. The amount of times I spin off at schwedenkreuz at 144mph+, the mind boggles as to what would happen for real. And I've been reading Ben Lovejoy's and jlwhubbers sites, the amount of accidents they see is quite scary.

Unfortunately, I don't think you've been reading my site - rather Ben Lovejoy's - he's the UK's Ring officionado, not me.
But, I would add a caveat to that as he's had quite a few accidents himself over the years - having written off 2 cars there himself!
Accidents are bloody common at the Ring - its simply not possible to have a trip there without seeing one - and a lot more than that if its wet like last year...
