AE, just imagine it's a Blurter Meet, with a better road surface, and no (maybe less) danger of meeting anyone coming the other direction to you (unless they've spun!).
It's quite a concentration.
Chilled - I haven't had my OEM pads replaced yet in 16k miles - and you know how I drive after MM2.... Not even a squeak out of them.

standard brakes are OK..ish... but if you want to avoid fade/massive wear then you need some mods.. even taking/not taking a passenger does make some difference..
however track pads can wear even quicker.. just more effective stopping and less chance to fade.

This is a good and reasonably comprehensive write up on brakes.
The ring is a killer for brakes as the long lap and steep gradients mean they get hot with little time to cool. If the GP circuit is open it's even worse.
For those intending to complete a lot of laps, ie more than 12 I would recommend either a spare set of pads or get some track pads fitted before you go.
Not a problem I have with the SBC. All I do is stick my feet through the gaps in the floor and stop that way. Didn't even wear out my trainers last time

weight's the killer. So I'm taking road/race pads and a spare set of OEM's. I just hope the road/race pads last the weekend. Because having to go drive around for a while to bed the brakes in would be a real PITA.

So I have 3 months to lose as many stone, and remember to empty the spare rubbish out of the boot and cockpit - CDs, empty water bottles, maps, etc...
half way round the GP track I was scattering half a dozen A4 sheets of paper on the circuit..
