That's the route Lloyd and I used last year. Pretty good journey and being a bit longer it gave some time for relaxation.

Mainly trucks but there was quite a few earlybird groups going to ring as well. I remember a pack of M3's and other big beemers on there.
Crossings about 2 hours which gives you time to relax if you have just driven a few miles to get there, like me.

I would recommend travelling around midnight as the roads were very quiet both in the UK & abroad.

Following on from the queue's thread on the main board, I might turn up early and do some evening sessions. You only get a couple of hours (usually 3-7 or 5-7) but traffic is light so you can get decent laps in.

On an entirely different subject :innocentwhistle: I'm thinking about getting a bullet cam. One with a microphone so I can hear the engine.

Forgot to ask does anyone konw a better route, or more scenic that I can take on the way back without adding stupid amounts of time to the journey. Plus I'd like to stop off for a nice lunch with my girlie on the way back. Bear in mind I'd need to be checked in at the port by 4:30, so a restaurant with a 2ish hour radius would be good.

it's a bit early to say on the route.. though I know it passes the time

Antwerp was a no/no as they have been rebuilding the roads around it.. however by next Easter the situation might be different.
