I'm on AA, so my plan is to get towed off the ring into surrounding roads. Well, that and not break down.

Do you know how much that will cost fella?

Just wondering as a couple of days on the assist jobby might be cheaper?

Nope. However I'm also covered by Green Flag so I hope they do. But Recovery is like insurance. Expensive until you need it. I have a credit card.

Just been creating mp3 playlists for the trip. Now have plenty of music ready for the trip. It's not long now is it? Tomorrow I'll pack and clean and pack the car.

Morning all.

Like a kid on Christmas Eve, I got bugger all sleep last night. Woke every half hour from 3am, finally got up at 5:30 to read for an hour, then back to bed and dozed until the alarm clock finally rang. Nuts!

Only 3 .5 hours of "work" left to go....

Then the mad rush to clean and pack the car. Buts its all looking good!

yeeehaaa - we're so nearly there!

Changed my exhaust back to stock, couldnt cope with the rattling resonator.

Whilst up on the ramps spotted a nail in my n/s rear too near the edge to repair

Now, do i change the rear tyres and have virtually new ones for the ring or do i put my 16" wheels back on, which are almost illegal

Opinions needed urgently please!

Unlucky.

New tyres. It seems to me to a bit of a waste to put all that time and effort into going to the Nurburgring and then drive with inferior bits etc.

Have you thought about putting track tyres on your 16" wheels. Smaller wheels are often better for track driving.

5hrs 37mins and 26 seconds to go.
