How flexible are Eurotunnel if you turn up early?
normally if you get a decent person at the toll booth.. they will move you up..if you ask in a reasonable way.. they don't care too much..
however if you get a real jobs worth..and the time puts you into a different price bracket..they can try and charge you for it.. for example they wanted another

Not meaning to be a wet blanket, but the Jersey crew will have driven for 8 hours ourselves on the Thursday, so may not be too keen on staying up til after 1am (along with Frank & crew).
Certainly getting pretty drunk in order to stay up isn't an option as Friday could well be the quietest track day - I've never driven the Ring with a hangover and don't intend to. Also, I personally wouldn't be too keen on getting Frank or Thomas to stay up until the wee hours (especially if bad weather slows you down) - more so as they get up at 7am to get breakfast going.
The option of you guys staying at the Etap in Liege isn't a bad one. I know Chilled said "its only 90 mins", but thats a long time to ask a hotelier to stay up after midnight if you're running behind schedule. The Etap is also cheaper than a night at Franks! Plus you could be at the Ring by 10am on Friday, after a good night's sleep. Its all automated (unlike the Berghotel) so if you roll in after midnight, it doesn't matter.
IMHO you two should have a ponder about the options.
Hope this didn't come across as a lecture, chaps. Just trying to minimise the number of totally knackered drivers and pissed off gay hotel owners!

Dunno whether its a good or bad thing, but if you stayed in Liege, you could probably convoy down with Kobe and Budgie to the Ring...

oh god yes
"Morning Ben - nice to meet you. I see you have a nail in your tyre".
Fab start to the trip but fair play to the Kwikfit type place that sorted it so easily and cheaply.

Certainly do - I'll text you on Thursday eve on-route, well having a beer on the ferry!
That reminds me - I must print out some maps!
