Don't worry, I'm not suggesting doing it at that speed. The suspension would be too loaded during the compression, and whilst the hill rise makes the brakes super efficient, technically it might be possible, I wouldn't do it at greater than 130. It's a ROAD circuit, so whilst at Donington/Anglesea/track with lots of run-off, you can drive at 100% with lots of marshals, waved flags etc, there's bugger all run off anywhere at the ring so drive where you have plenty of margin for error.
Either way, perfect example of a corner that you should NEVER enter too quickly. For several reasons.

Ben, you made a priceless comment that your head feels funny during your filming of my lap at the point of the compression. Can't remember your exact words but they make me chuckle every time I play it.
Don't know what speed we were doing but it was fairly quick at that point as I hadn't experienced that level of compression o n previous laps.

a civic went over the barrier in that compression area
I usually bottle it a bit - due to the consequences!! I don't touch the brakes..just back off the throttle a bit or downshift to 5th..
but it's a good place to overtake on the hill just before it turns left as that corner is quite wide and has some margin..

picked up a few DVD's in the USA, one of the Best Motoring collection (i.e. original Japanese dubbed in English)... this one has a bonus feature of Mr Gan (I think) driving a prototype S2000 on the northciruit.. it's a british registered left hand drive S2000.. looks like the finished model apart from tape to disguise the lights, also has the BBS 6 spoke wheels.
It's the best in car footage I have seen for the ring.. as it's professionally filmed..and has picture in picture of the dash and pedals..so you can see the speeds and braking points. He was driving on a tourist day.. and quite calmy thrashes the pants off the car.. top down, no helmet.. approx 8:20 BTG.. including some traffic..
and he had his foot on the gas - right through the big compression

I've seen some of Gan San's driving in other videos and he makes T Sato look like a careful and considerate Sunday afternoon driver.
I'd love to see a clip of an S2Ki flat out through Fuchsrohre.

So Rich, reckon you'll be going for 141mph next Easter?
I think I'm quite grateful that the SBC tops out at 130.

No
I don't think I would go that speed on a 10mile straight
