But then, my passport renewal took 5 working days too - looks like they've all got their act together; or no one is going on holiday for easter!

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to know if you guys will be at the 'Ring on Saturday because I would like to meet some of you and chat. I was thinking of attending the 'MegaMeet3' in the Lake District but it is a bit of a trip for me. I hope it's ok for me to drop in and say hello with my '04 RNBP.....
Thanks and perhaps see some of you there!
Cheers,
Francis.
ps.let's hope for some

I drove some laps on GT4 in the night.
Well some cuyrves I still forget they are closing on me
I run in Arcade Mode with 350Z, Lotus Elise R, NSX and S2000.
I found the 350Z easiest to drive around the ring
First because of its suspension which is VERY forgiving
Second because of its troque so it doesn't matter if you didn't carry enough speed trough the corner before a "hill"
The Lotus was pretty fast but very nervous and coming from the 350Z you could feel the lack of torque.
Aboud the NSX I didn't know it had souch a deep sound, but toruqe and power was there definitealy.
Pretty easy to drive but VERY bervous on the brakes.
Then teh S2000 man, this car UNDERSTEERS a lot!
Still pretty fast though but you have to adapt your steering habits.
Too fast into a corner and the only way to stay on the track is BRAKING.
Not very effectiv like this.
I just did one or 2 laps in each car but teh 350Z was the easiest to drive and so the fastest.
I managed tto get a 9.30 ore something on road tyres.
I have to specifie that I drove like I would in real live, so if I was unsure of a corner I did brake early and tried to avoid any contact with the grass patch and the railing.
So looks like a pretty realistic time to me.

Richie - depends where the crack is - if its stopped growing (ooer) and isn't directly in your line of sight, then thats ok. It can't collapse and fall into the car (according to the experts) and is not dangerous to you.
I know this from first hand experience from 3 years ago when I got a similar sized crack half way up my windscreen on my side when en route to the Ring. Despite lots of phone calls, I couldn't source a screen anywhere in Europe for the S. But they eventually convinced me that all would be well and it wouldn't explode at 150mph. (which was true! hehehe)
It looked a bit naff (and can be seen in my in-car video on Keith Maddock's website if you look hard), but all was well. Obviously if you CAN find a new one before then, so much the better.
Francis - welcome on board! Don't be a stranger in the pits if you see us - come on over and say hi! We can always try and flog you a commemorative sticker, too!
3.5 working days left for me!!!!!!!!!!
