Hmm that blows, goes from renting an s2k from you to -maybe- getting a lap?
Joy. I hope I can find a decent car to rent. Fiat Panda here I come.

hope rylan is old enough..
the more powerful the rental.. the older you need to be..
sixt are usually pretty good.. but you need to be 30+ for the sportscar and 4x4 stuff.

yeah I'm 28, I opted for a manual A4.
And yeah I'll try to mooch some laps from someone, I gotta have a couple laps in a s2k there. would completely suck not to. Laps for CG locks? Laps for Brake Pads? Laps for Laps (you guys know you want to drive Laguna Seca someday in a S )

I am sure something is possible to work out..
did they confirm if it is petrol or diesel.. as majority of euro continental cars above 1.5litre size are diesel..
if it is an A4 Tdi.. they are still pretty good cars..
though the extra weight (~100kg) on the front is a bit of a killer on the brakes during descents - and it will always put you into understeer on the limit..
I actually prefer driving my less powerful A3Tdi than my BMW diesel.. despite the supposed 50:50 weight of the Beemer.. the audi cars seem more nimble as they roll a lot less.

Sixt can do a 3 day rental of an SLK (probably be the crappy 200 though, the 280 would ok) for about 330 Euros. Don't know how many seats you need though. The top 1 series diesel probably wouldn't be a bad choice. Dynamically supposed to be good.

Kobe - It's work but it's a mentalist schedule where for the first part I do Philippines, Thailand, Singapore & Malaysia in as many days - so I doubt time even for a beer let alone sightseeing
Still at least I will have the Ring to look forwards to. I'll be bringing my circuit guide as in flight reading
