strange.. a little bit worrying, and with all that new gear - you would expect a firmer/less travel than before.

if you have enough of the motul left.. you might want to try and repeat the bleed process.. alternative go back to the dealer and try and compare with another car..
I know the pedal is wrong. I'm 99% certain they've not bled it properly. I can't see any leaks so I'm assuming a leak isn't the problem. My friends land rover, if the brakes aren't bled properly, you have to pump them to firm the feel up. So i'm going to take it back and get them to finish it properly. The work was done by a stealer, so I expect it done right.

Neil955 - were you there when Jorund died, then? that must have been awful, if so...

Actually, the one time a biker came with us, he dropped it into Brunnchen and knocked himself unconscious, writting his brand new R6 off in the process. But no injuries thank god.

You're right, though. The best driver in the world can't do much if someone has lost it around a fast, blind corner - and there are plenty of naff drivers out there, too.

I read every word in the Direct Line insurance policy I had last year, and could find no wording in it that said I wouldn't be insured.

That sounds familiar Tim. However I have heard anecdotally that they don't.

I read the same elsewhere, thats why I read every word.

They were supposed to mention 'de-restricted toll roads', but, mine didn't say it.

I did read mine, and like yourself couldn't find any mention. However I'm going there under the assumption that I'm insured enough to be allowed on, even if it won't cover any claim. You sorted train yet? My brakes are sorted now I think (just need bedding in). So now it's just countdown time. Felt the urge today to take out the thrash. But need to wait.

I heard similar about Tesco... aren't Tesco/Direct Line the same insurance??

I never actually read my policy (in denial) - my assumption was that 3rd party is always covered..but everything else would only be a bonus.

My opinion (not based on fact) is that you're either fully covered, or not at all, unless specifically mentioned. If they don't exclude it specifically, or using generic things like derestricted toll road, then they have to fully cover you. However if they state, cover reverts to third party only at the ring, then that's what you'd get.

The biggest problem is that the policy documents recieve are only summary's I think. Whatever happens, I'm going to the ring, going to drive at 9/10ths and hope that nobody else takes me out. 10/10ths is dangerous with the arnco that close...
