Easter Ring Meet 2006 - 14th -18th April 2006

I'd be interested in a small sticker.
As for brakes, my front discs are on their way out with a nice lip round the edge, and the (redstuff) pads are at least half done. I've got some new pads, but I'm not sure whether to replace the discs and pads before I go, just replace the pads, or leave it alone and take the new pads as spares and change them there if needed. Thoughts?
I've also got some braided hoses to go on, but I wasn't going to bother with those just yet. Money's a bit tight and if I start upgrading too much I won't be able to afford to go.
(Edited for sense)

Nice Stickers!
Car's booked in tomorrow for 18k service, new pads, new fluid. I won't worry about new pipes.
Ben,
PM sent. I tried to put in as much "etc..." as possible, without getting too personal
Are we there yet?
While we're not on the subject, and at the risk of making this into an insurance thread:
Insurance
DirectLine don't do the 'ring. Any recommendations for a week's European Insurance?
Recovery:
The AA categorically exclude the 'ring. Again, any suggestions?

Historically, I've used Europassistance for my breakdown recovery - they've brought back to Jersey a mate's sickly 300ZX twice now and he paid

Are you talking DirectLine insurance or breakdown?
Got RAC breakdown last time as they didn't exclude the ring. As for insurance, they can't really get out of insuring you.

Ring insurance is always a tricky area as has been covered to death earlier in the thread.
Bottom line is we're using it as an derestricted, one way, public toll road, rather than as a timed, competition-style race track. It simply can't be classed as the latter if bus loads of tourists are travelling around it with us!
But they reserve the right to tell you to p!ss off and get insurance elsewhere - because they can!

it not necessarily you that may have the accident, but others around you.

Porterfield R4s Pads, Goodridge braided hoses all around, Motul RBF600 fluid.
And yes, engine is switched on. The brakes kind of work fine, but too much travel at the top of the pedal.

if you have enough of the motul left.. you might want to try and repeat the bleed process.. alternative go back to the dealer and try and compare with another car..
