Like that

Had some paintshield applied to the Tiv yesterday, so high speed cruising doesn't result in the from end loosing it's paint!

Also - at 3am in Belgium, there's very little traffic Great time to max out the cars!

Over 24hrs without a post!!! Come on guys, let's keep the momentum and get the rubbish posts up above 99%

All car preparations are now complete, but the Unichip is a non-starter this time as they cannot get enough info on my ECU

Rear anti roll bar has been changed and the car now has a little oversteer booting it out of roundabouts

Still cannot get a travel cable for the Archos/bullet camera so recording is a nightmare, requiring the TV docking pod to be fitted and it seems to prevent my microphone recording at an audible volume level

Yeah, cheers Ben, they are out of stock now, just like everyone else.

I have had to cancel three orders so far from online sources that either said they were in stock or due in and two weeks later, nothing

I have now placed an order direct with Archos. Paid through the nose, but one would hope they will be the first to re-stock??

hopefully enough for you to get the SBC back together..

is it running yet ?
No.

I've got my exhaust back, all nicely repacked and shiny.

The front offside shock that I sent back to AVO had a chipped piston so I'm get that replaced and the shock refurbished - should receive it this week.

The cylinder head has been ported and polished, it's just having cams fitted and should be due back late this week, early next week.

Then put it together and then tune the thing. I need a good rolling road with DTA Fast compatible systems. There are a couple well recommended but I can't book 'til the car is running.

Still, my fall back car still quick enough for some fun.

Have you had a chance to try your new shocks?

only limited runs due to the bad weather..

but so far so good.. the original ones were pretty good.. but very pleasantly surprised how the ride comfort is not too compromised despite the much stiffer springs. The only problem now is to find the right settings for the dampers..

however everything will be from square one.. as I am meant to be picking up some new rear control arms in the USA this week, which eliminate the bumpsteer (from a lowered suspension) and allow to set the toe and camber independently at the rear..

I can see what attracted you to the AVO shocks

The AVOs were already on the car when I bought it, but saying that they do seem to be the shock of choice for most Westy owners.

High on my list of upgrades is to go Nitrons.

With all these mods you leave yourself no excuses when Sabine drives past in Transit.

I love that clip where she overtakes the motorcyclist
