TBH I don't think we really planned to head any particular way. We were pretty much just following the dry weather and found ourselves down that way.
Was great to revisit some of the NE & Borders roads though

Looked more like some type of furnace to us, rather than the entrance to the Mines of Moria.

glad it cleared up for you at least
the weather was so crap yesterday i even went as far as putting the hardtop back on! spent ages greasing it etc then cutting some new plastic tubing for the catches - had a quick blast and it seems to be sans creaks - which is nice. that is all

Was indeed an excellent day - when we planned the trip down to Hadrian's Wall last month we never thought the weather would turn out to be this good.
