You certainly DON'T want to be doing it in the dark though (trust me, I used to when I was a lad) so timing has to be fairly spot on bearing in mind sunset is getting earlier and earlier (the nights are fair drawing in!)
Plus twilight brings out all the loons so figure on having to race a couple of spoilered up saxos

I don't know how we can work it into the route the "right way round" .
The only way would be to loop back on the way back down, but it would add 25 odd miles to the journey I guess.
Could depend on the weather also - its showery, and who wants to do the DP in the wet ?
