Kiwi, if your organising this, spend a couple of hours route planning now before you go firm on a date. These things can take ages to sort out (Moggy & I spent 6 weeks checking routes, driving them etc prior to the meet). You need to check camera locations, speed traps, congestion, weather forecasts, rush hour choke points, back up routes should traffic etc hold you up. There is a lot to do.
Get some idea of the route & mileage. 21st Oct doesn't leave you long. I would advise prepping & checking with a view to an early spring run, say mid/late March.

Last seen on alternative route as the B435 has Coos on it!
I'd agree that this needs a fair bit of planning. Some of the roads around the Fylde are really quite good and you can easily fill a day doing just that, what about Scarborough Saturday, stay over Sunday do the Fylde Sunday then off home. Much like N/E Scottish Borders. If you want some routes I can help and Pete may have a couple too.

Would that include blackpool illuminations on a night Al?
The only problem with ending up in Blackpool is parking overnight (and all the scum of course) Unless you stayed at the Devere which is quite pleasant but a bit further out. Nice hotel and safe car park.

No lights at Spring Time in Blackpool
The Devere is the obvious choice would depend on the rates secured and the numbers. There are a few private hotels but further out then you get out to Kirkham I think the Topless in Blackpool crowd stayed at the Travel Lodge or Inn out there.
It would all depend on numbers that was why a spring meet would be a good starter then an Illuminations Meet for the end of the year.
Suppose it could be crammed in but it would take a bit of organising for this year.
