RichUk

Really really sorry to hear of this but at the end of the day as long as you are ok that has to be the main thing

I had a 'moment' myself at the weekend having been out of the car for a while.....fortunately it was dry but had it been wet then the car would most probably have been trashed

Seems these cars can bite

Rich, mate really feel for you. Had mine 13 days and got rear ended at a set of traffic lights. Was off the road for 3 weeks and there was very little damage, I was so gutted.

Hope ya get it sorted and quick.

Better head to the pub tonight ........ Drown your sorrows. That's what I did.

Very sorry to hear your bad news Rich but also pleased that you are here to tell the tale.

Warning to everyone right here, do not take this car for granted in the wet no matter how good a driver you are !, you will come unstuck. The roads can be lethal when you have hot spells followed by rain so please take care.

Rich....glad that you are ok.
I've had mine less than a month and I dread this happening everyday.
Its worth re-iterating what everyone has said today.....DO NOT TAKE THESE CARS FOR GRANTED.
Sometimes, I feel I do, and kick myself when I drive a little foolishly......eg today in the p***ing rain.

Once again, glad to hear you are ok.

PWE896 said to me, drive like you have an eggshell under the accel in bad weather. I always think about that.

Sorry to hear that Rich, glad you're OK but make sure you get to your GP if you feel any twinges - it can take a while for neck injuries to develop.

A timely warning to everyone bearing in mind the likely conditions this weekend.......

Unfortunately Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt - glad to hear you're OK (that is the important thing you realise sitting in your damaged car) - I second CC's comment re eggshell - never had a traction problem since. Fingers crossed that you're back in the S soon.

....and heres a cutting statement that will I`m sure upset some re: this weekend.

AT SM3 DO NOT GET CAUGHT UP IN ROAD RACES IN THE WET

Only idiots will get caught up in them. I for one will hold back when fools rev in dangerous conditions.

(this is not implying Rich is a fool!, this is a warning to any excited types).

Just to echo CC's comments. I was on a meet with my old roadster a couple of years back. Weather turned a bit during the afternoon, and some of the drivers were still a bit keen on the twisties - result:- 3 car smash with people air lifted to hospital!!

Not saying that (god forbid) people could do the same at SM3 - just need to be careful (blood to the head when VTec-ing may dull the senses)
