I've been in Hospital with acute upper abdominal pains and I was getting scoped and ultrasounded to rule out ulcers and gall stones.

Scope was all clear as was ultrasound
they are going to try me on anti spasm medication if it re occurs
However the scoping itself was a bit rough leaving my uvula (the little dangly bit at the back of your throat that they use as a punchbag on Tom and Jerry cartoons) was black with a white sheath on the end and so swollen it literally bounces off my gag reflex.
Lovely!
It has now ulcerated (along with the back of my throat) so it is very painful

hope you're feeling better soon then -
(on a positive note, you may end up featuring in medical textbooks of the future - ie like Robin Harper the Green Party MSP (allegedly) )
