Myself and Lifecrisis(Lew) are planning to meet up Friday morning or around lunchtime ish and head over to Wales.
Sorry I don't have proper timings yet as he's away in France!

We are both based in North Yorkshire so would anyone else like to join us as we head west over the M62 and onwards to eventually stop off at Chester services CH2 4QZ for a well earned break.
Note: they have a shell garage :-)

The plan then is to have a small detour to the Evo Triangle before then heading south to the hotel.

It's always more fun in a group!

Which way are you planning to head down to Llandrindod Wells from the Evo?

Probably south to Bala then the A494, A470 and A489 to Newtown. Then the A483 all the way south.

That's what looks good to me on Google maps. Unless some of this is best avoided?

Depending on what time you are likely to hit Newtown you may be better off staying on the A470 all the way down to Llandrindod Wells as Newtown around 5pm is a nightmare and there is only one way in & one way out

Thanks for that. Will probably stick to A470 all the way then. Looks like a really nice route anyway. Got to make the most of this :-)

Change of plan. Heading south down M1 then across the A628 on my own. Setting off in a couple of hours.

Will lookout for any of you on way :-)
