Why not to go to Stewarts Body Shop
#11
Hehe....who said I was talking about Bankston's body shop?
FWIW, Honda's are particularly hard to repair after collisions. Few shops are setup properly to repair them...
My body shop experience is as follows:
Lute Riley, Service King, Sterling, Park Place, Bankston (Paint Only)....
They're all about the same...but Sterling being the worst. The car was Nighthawk Black, the repaired parts came back Starlight Black!
I've just made low expectations from every body shop. That's how I keep from getting pissed off about quality of work....

Stuarts did work on my Escape when it got hit, they had it for a while (which is no surprise to anybody) but they did a good job on the repair... but the headlight is now starting to fog up. Can't really blame them since it's more a problem with a defective part, but I don't work over there now so it's not convenient for me to bring it down there to get it looked at or repaired.
When I got my S repaired at a dealership I was 100% dissatisfied with almost EVERY aspect of the repair... except the time it took. I don't mind the wait if it's done right, and I ended up having to take it back a couple times that it really is just going to end up taking longer. (I started noticing spider-cracks on my bumper in front of the headlights so I'm going to have to take it back... again).

If we're making recommendations, I used "Details, Limited" in Addison when I had my accident. They re-sprayed pretty much the whole car, and I'm very satisfied with the paint work they did. I think a trained eye could tell that the hood is not the factory paint, but overall it looks very good (other than the huge chip/flake on the bumper from road debris that I picked up soon after it was repainted).

Body work is tricky, sometimes a shop does an excellent job and sometimes they mess it up. It all depends on who is working on your car and how much he cares about his work. Ive had good and bad luck with numerous shops. I am currently using Top Auto in Garland TX... they've done some excellent paint matching for me. They even got the Lexus pearl white perfect on my is300 when my hood got vandalized, you cant even tell its been sprayed.
