I called Bob today and reserved the track Sep 8th. Cones will be there in an unlocked trailor, so I plan on showing up around sunrise and set up the course.

I just received the insurance information. The document covers several aspects of auto-x event planning and regulations that will impact our event. Mostly common sense things, nothing unusual, but there are some stipulations. I'll be calling the officers for a brief meeting. We will also discuss this further at our next meet and any volunteer meetings we set up. Thanks for everyones hard work and support so far (and in advance).

I haven't auto-Xed in about 20 years. This is exciting.
I used to drive a '73 Pinto with 13:1 pistons, a Holley 4-barrel, a Zink 5-speed, and a Mustang rear-end. Even with all of that, I managed only 180 HP out of a 2L engine. Technology is a wonderful thing. Thank you Honda.

Make sure to get the insurance paperwork back to K&K ASAP, they prefer to have it a couple of weeks in advance of the event.
And we have a 1,000,000 dollar policy...so check that off on the form.

If anyone needs to borrow a helmet I actually have 3 (three!!) from my old motorcycle days. I may try to make it out there to observe but not participate. I'll take them if I go but feel free to pick up the helmets in case I don't.

By the way, Safety Flag Co. of America "lost" our flag order (although their database cleverly retained my credit card information). Luckily I'm anal (no comments please
) and called Tuesday to check on our shipment. They are now Fed-Ex'ing our order for Friday delivery. We WILL have flags.
