Speaking of observing, I need to see what issues there would be with having passangers... I know some people who'd freak for a chance to ride along.
But yes, everybody please come!

I received the S2KCA info I was waiting on. Go to the S2000 Club of America forum to see their reply and also visit S2KCA.com for more details.
If we act quickly we can start a Regional Chapter and qualify for the liability insurance. Chris is already a member so we just need 4 more to start things off. I encourage our NT Club officers to join with me ASAP so we can get coverage for Mineral Wells.

My app goes in the mail tomorrow.
Steps remaining: (some of these can be done concurrently.)

Form local chapter through steps mentioned above.

Notify insurance company of event.

Purchase additional equipment (timing, flags, firebottles, refreshments.)

Reserve Saturday, September 8th date.

Fax insurance paperwork to city of Mineral Wells.

Decide if we require registration, payment and number assignment beforehand, or do it the morning of the event.

Determine entry fee.

Investigate what exactly the insurance does and does not cover. Passengers? Observers? Local auto-x clubs and the PCA allows non-members to drive in their events as long as they sign the waiver.
Am I missing anything?

I got the cover page for the insurance today (the rest to follow by FedEx). A DOT approved helmet is required by the insurance carrier in order to participate.
