this weekend at the MSR--which tires?
With the likelihood of rain this weekend I cant decide which tires to put on my car--My track tires or my street tires. What do yall think?

New Victoracers are way better than street tires in the rain. Yok Advans are even better. I have driven MSR in the rain several times. It is slick, but still fun. You just have to remember that you must brake and accelerate in a straight line, and turn smooth. The "fast line" is pretty much anywhere off the "dry line". The dry line gets polished, while off it is more abrasive.
This is what I will be running this weekend:
Here is a little clip of MSR clockwise in the rain. The green glag was thrown when the red T/A passed the white one. Whose S2K was in front of me

You don't have permission to access /racing/drivers_edge/video/120902_msr/spin_msr12902_transam.wmv on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Regarding tires - my understanding is that the only advantage a street tire has over a race tire in the rain is the tire tread. So if it's just wet, go for race tires. If there's standing water that needs to be evacuated from under the tire, the streets would be best. There's really only one part of MSR that I remember has much of an issue with standing water...
