That being said, I realize the Plano/Richardson/Garland area didn't get his as bad as some other parts of the Metromess.
We ran out to give the pony his supplements about 11... Lots less ice on the ground by your place we got just 5 miles west in Plano... Weird.

I thought I would have fewer "snow days" since moving to Austin but everything remains iced up (since Monday morning). I have to retrieve our son from a friend's house later this afternoon. We were flirting with 32 degrees an hour ago but were back down to 30 now. Before I can get underway I have to remove an inch or more coating of ice from the truck. The 4x4 performs well in these conditions but the other drivers down here are attempting to defy the laws of physics. I'll leave the new AWD Saabaru in the garage. After three days working from home I'm up for a little entertainment.

Hope your weather improves soon.

I left work early with the excuse of "I want to get out before it re-freezes." The roads are perfectly fine in my area, now. Some were almost drying out, but others were just wet.

Oops, guess I could've waited a while longer to leave.

That was painful to watch. Can you imagine?... everything is in slow-mo, but there's just nothing you can do to stop the inevitable.
