Default VALVE ADJUSTMENT!

Anyone on here experienced with them? I want to get mine done without the stealership bending me over. Willing to pay a reasonable rate plus beer.

after how many miles on the car you have to do it?

MLK: were you able to talk to marcucci about this?

I think the factory manual says 90K but it wouldn't hurt to do it a little more often especially if you're getting a lot of valvetrain noise. I think my car has had it done 3 times and it's just over 120,000 miles. I paid something like 60-80 each time.

At that mileage, you need a valve adjustment anyway, so just take it to a dealer and get it done. Unless you know how to do it yourself...

...well, when i start my car it has a "ticking noise", and my friend had told me i need a valve adjustment, so i might need one as well. i might just have to take it in to the dealership.

research timing chain tensioner. The following is a link to the replacement part. It sounds like a flapping card in bicycle spokes when its bad. You will only hear it when starting the car.

Mo, come over to my house once day and i'll do it for you and show you at the same time. But wait until a good warm day so i can do it outside instead of inside the gargage, plus right now i still haven't finish painting my S yet.......it's cold and i am too lazy....lol.

Unless you like dust and crap blowing into your engine's head, it's a good idea to do this in the shelter of your garage. Just a suggestion.
