Tom's Turbine Drive - Saturday May, 22nd
**meeting in valley view** you will be looking for exit 487 on I-35
"Toms Turbine Drive"
It is that time again! It has been almost 2 months so I am wondering who is getting the itch to go for a drive? FM 922 is finally open again after being closed down for repairs on the road for 2 years! On this drive you will see beautiful spring flowers in full bloom and scenic views to boot.
If you haven't seen the windmills it is a sight to see. This route has many long sweepers and breathtaking views not normally associated with North Texas. We will get to drive near the Red River where there is light to no traffic. When there is traffic, the locals generally heed and pull over to let the group pass. Larger groups can be held very easily. This is a route for motorcycle and other sports car clubs to have an event. I am going to vary the route from last time so it will be a totally new experience for those who have been on the previous drives, you are still in for a treat!
We will leave as soon as we can (I am thinking 6:30pm-6:45pm) from the Chevron in Valley View (on the west side of I-35) This will put us exactly where we need to be and avoid all the traffic and get right to the good roads! Then we will go through roads on Montague County, and Cooke County.

After the drive we will arrive at The Center around 8:30-8:45 depending if we take any "Detours"
All Makes and Models welcome

I am going either way. Weather should be fantastic. Get a drive in before the heat of the summer gets here!

Tom, the week is always sketchy for me. Weekends are better...just hard to make it to things without a lot of notice. I think I'm going to be able to swing this though. I most likely will be in something topless though and not my own car.
(also, you accidentally put I-45 in your meeting point directions above.)
