Tom's Turbine Drive - June 27th, 6:30pm
"Toms Turbine Drive"
If you haven't seen the windmills it is a sight to see. This route has many long sweepers and breathtaking views not normally associated with North Texas. We will get to drive near the Red River where there is light to no traffic. When there is traffic, the locals generally heed and pull over to let the group pass. Larger groups can be held very easily. There are 3 stop signs and 2 stoplights on this drive so that nobody should get separated. This is a very common route for motorcycle and other sports car clubs to have an event.
There are some fine German Style places to eat in Muenster. Doc's Bar and Grill is a great place to eat and also The Center is a great option.

We will leave as soon as we can (I am thinking 6:45 ish) from the Chevron in Sanger (on the west side of I-35) This will put us exactly where we need to be and avoid all the traffic and get right to the good roads! Then we will go through roads on North Denton County, Montague County, and Cooke County.

After the drive is over around 8pm if anybody would like to have a photoshoot the light will be good from 8pm to 9pm! If anybody wants to do some rolling shots I would be game!

After the photos, If anybody wants to get a drink and some food at a bar in town we can see which place is suitable, maybe Doc's Bar and Grill or the Center.

Looks like a pretty good turnout! Hope to see you there if you are on the fence!

Tom - Thanks for organizing. I have been wanted to do another drive for a while now. I just can do one on Saturday evening. You might think about a morning drive sometime in the near future. It would be much more comfortable for top down cruising this time of year.

In the past few weeks I've got 2 new tires, new exhaust, changed brake pads, and flushed fluid with Super Blue...all hoping for an event like this very soon.
I'll have to double-check with my social planner (wife), but I should hopefully be in for this. I'm overdue for a good drive.

Tom, I likely won't be able to make it (and I still owe you lunch from the cruise in the hurricane last year!), but I posted on the NTEC board to see if any of those guys wanted to come back out.
Guys this is a great route, one of the best cruises I've been a part of!
Any issues in the evening with the western sun?
