Tire Recommendation
I know I am going to possibly get flooded with responses, but here goes.
I need to buy two new rear tires for my S2K. I am not a deranged maniac that drives 150 mph, so I do not see the need for a ZR rated tire. I think what's on there now are Bridgestone Potenzas (P 225 50 R 16).
I need to know what is a good tire for a non racer that will give me the maximum mileage.
Please help,
Phantom

I went through 3 sets of rear tires within 25K before I use Fuzion tire
I am using my car as a daily drive and I really like Fuzion tire. it's about 90 per tire and after 10K, look like I have another 10K or more to go :-)

Fuzion is a new line of tires from Bridgestone. I don't have any personal experience with them, but the price and sizes of the ZRi model seem good. (205/55-16 front for $72 each, 245/45-16 rear for $81 each.)
I've gone through several sets of Kumho ECSTA 712 tires. Not as good dry performance as S02s, but plenty for street driving. They last about as long as the S02s, but are nearly half the price - along the lines of the above Fuzion. I like them for street driving.

Just be sure to get 245/45 16 like Elistan said if you go with anything other then the OEM Bridestone Potenza S02. That particular tire is much wider than the 225/50 sidewall suggests. Jim at Tire Rack knows this and can fix you up with the right tire...

I liked my Ecsta 712's. I get all my tires from Jim @ TireRack; he really knows our car and gave me great advice and didn't mind all my questions. Oh, and their pricing on the tires was significantly less than anywhere else even after shipping (shipping was about the same as sales tax locally).
FWIW; I felt like the Ecsta 712's had as good dry grip as the Toyo T1's I have now, but the T1's cost over 2x as much.

Dunlap has a tire that gets good mileage. I have a workout friend that owns a 2001 that drives from Plano to Grand Prairie every day and has good luck. Go to tirerack and search for Dunlap.
