Sorry, new to Texas. What is Deferred Adjucation?
I see you had your question answered but I was just curious where you lived before coming to Austin?

[QUOTE=Kaiser,Oct 12 2005, 01:39 PM]It's usually the second choice if defensive driving isn't available due to having taken it within a year or too extreme a violation (I got a ticket for 73 in a 45 in my truck RIIIIGHT in front of Southfork Ranch where they filmed "Dallas".

I think the limit for defensive driving is 15mph.... you can just call the # on the ticket to find out.
They'll probably allow deferred for 20mph over if you ask nicely... or you could go through a lawyer if you're really concerned about it.

This is an area I know. Unless they've changed it, you can not take DD or a deferred on anything OVER 24. 25+ and you're going to either take the hit on your record or need an atty. So for 15 19 or 20 (whatever it says below) you're OK.

Sorry, i will clarify. The standard maximum for the entire state is 24 mph and below. If you get one for 25 mph or more over the speed limit, it takes special approval for DD or deferred.
