Default Skyline Sighting

6:2? pm, sitting in the fast lane of west bound LBJ @ the tollroad when a white Skyline GT-R went by in the HOV lane. Since I was doing 0 mph & he was doing 60 I didn't get a good look at it, but it was a RH drive, had a rear wiper & it looked like a R34 to me but wouldn't bet on it. There was too much traffic, in the way, to get a good look as it exited @ Midway. First one I've seen that didn't have a Gumball 3000 stickers on it.

Anyone else see it?

I doubt there are any R34's in Dallas although I have seen plenty of R32's and 1 R33. They are pretty cool cars and a rare site but I would never pay 50-100K like what motorex is asking to import them.

A friend of mine has one that puts down, IIRC, 530 hp to the wheels. Overrated? Nahhh, I don't think so

I'd say so when my friend's Sentra put down the same WHP from a 2.0L 4 cyl from the same family.

The Skyline is a Japanese muscle car. It's heavy, has a big FI engine, and has AWD. It's really not that impressive. Sure, they're neat, but mostly just because we can't get them here.

And yes, 530HP out of a 3.2L engine isn't that astonishing. Remember the Supra turbo? People get 1000HP out of that 3.0L engine all the time.

I'd never pay the big bucks for one (short of winning the lottery - which I don't play) - but those are SEEEXXXXY!!!!
