Default Saturday Sept 24 Course Map

Saturday course.

For a better quality PDF click here

Note that the paddock limit is a little further from the course than in the past, to make room for grid and pregrid, but extends all the way to the north edge of the pavement.

Looks like fun, too bad I'm not gunna be there.... I mentioned something for the last auto-x about having more radios with it spread out that far and I think that you'll need em this time around if they haven't already been purchased...

You guys have fun this weekend, hope the storm treats you well.

Actually (based on a lot of experience) more radios often is worse, since there more opportunity to talk over each other, especially when radio discipline breaks down.

On the map the primary numbers are where the radios go. The a positions are cone shaggers only. The key to course operation is that cone shaggers spread out through the zone, and that the radio operators be able to see their zone. 2 to 2a is a bit of a squint, but 2a should not have many hits. 2 should probably dispatch one person to the northeast corner (upper right) for a 2b position. The other zones are easy to see from the radio position.

Mmmm... I love me some transitions.

Looks like a fun course, Gregg. Hopefully the weather will hold out for us on Saturday.

BTW, I dig the new avatar - nice shot! Was that DRP, or did someone else take that shot?

Digital Race Photography. They're an Austin-based outfit that takes race photos, and I'd heard they were at Nationals this year.

No DRP. Taken by someone at Denver Tour, photos posted on a forum, don't recall which. Here's the original.

Is the event still on for Sat? I wasn't sure since the TRSCCA cancelled the TMS event on Sun.

TIA
