the blasting worked for me when i lived in NJ. buddy that works @ a custom wheel store did the work
not saying sandblasting doesn't work. i'm saying a couple dollars worth of sandpaper from lowes or home depot and 5 minutes of your time will accomplish the exact same goal. the worm gear is close to the size of a cap of a sharpie. it will take you longer to reassemble the TCT than it will to pull it and sand it.

Hand sanding will only last a short period of time. My first time to go thru the TCT ordeal, I went to Marcucci and he hand sanded the part. That "fix" lasted about 2-3 weeks and then it needed to be replaced and modded with a sandblasted one.

not that i don't trust him, but he didn't sand it well enough if it only lasted 2-3 weeks. sorry buddy.

Unfortunately, his handsanding is not as powerful as a sandblaster. The Mobil 1 i was using was too good and actually "polished" the piston that needs the sanding. No need for apology; The problem is that hand sanding is inadequate.

hand sanding saved my TCT at ~40k miles and again at ~80k miles.

<2k miles vs 40,000 mi?

yeah, i'll hand sand mine again when it starts to get problematic.
