I am also looking for someone to let me co-drive their car. The Civic is fine however it has been sitting for a few months and not in top tune. I could race it... but I have a friend that wants to/is willing to fly me over on Saturday, and obviously that sounds pretty nice to me!

So I will put up $30 to someone who lets me co-drive their car.

I just saw my friend Matt is registered in his CRX so if no one is willing I can probly drive his. Thanks!

Kevin

I must get a ride in the C6, the cars look fantastic and i've only ridden in a beat C5 which wasn't too impressive. Maybe we can call it payback for helmet transportation duty 3-4 autocrosses ago

We'll probably have to wait on that .....The S.O. is coming to this AX and riding along since she has missed the last few....

hey Fellas, would Autocrossing tear up my Falken FK-451 Tires on just one event? I just bought brand new 245/45/16 rear Tires for daily driving and planning to go to this Auto X for the first time. If this is going to make my tires wear out compleltly i will just leave my 225/50/16's Rears on and use them at the Auto X.

Well, how about this. If you can transport the cones and other autocross equipment with us Friday night so that EgoThreat and I can bring both S2000s, you're welcome to drive my car. It currently has Kumho MX tires so you can stay in Street class.
I'll gladly transport cones for a chance to drive!

I think.

What's involved?

All you have to do is blow up the engine in your current car. Nothing to it

Having a job has drawbacks... I got a meeting rescheduled to Saturday on me.

No, I don't think 8 runs on any street tire would tear it up unless you went out and did a 360 spin out on every single corner for all 8 laps. We ran my gf's brand new kumho 712's at the last event for 16 laps and we each had about 2-3 spins. You can hardly tell that we drove on them. Just make sure you have the proper inflation and you'll be fine.

But at the same time, if you've already got some older tires that you don't mind tearing up (the 225's) then why not tear those up... you will put some wear and tear into them... not to mention other possible misshaps (I got a screw right near the side wall on my rear tires my first time out)... Sure the 245's may give you some extra bite, but are you really going to need the extra bite the first time out there?

If it were me, I would tear up the older tires since I had them anyway... just my $0.02
