Here's something I just found on SNELL vs DOT.
http://www.mmsp.org/helmets/snell.htm

I didn't even realize there was anything but SNELL.

I really have no idea if a DOT only helmet is something we could or should accept. Perhaps our insurance policy says something about this specifically. I'll double-check when I get the chance.

Thanks for letting me know Candyass. Actually my older bro and nephews do owned several SNELL helmet since they do owned a import-tuner shop in Killeen. I didn't feel like driving all the way to Killeen(Fort-Hood) just to get the helmet for the weekend autocross. Beside it's all full-face racing helmet and i hated wearing full-face helmet...it's too darn hot and the vission not that good. This new helmet i just bought is just for temporary because i didn't feel like having to bother somebody else helmet at the track, but i guess i will have to now
Like I said, I really would not worry about driving all that way. The club has plenty of helmets available for your use.

the "track" car started leaking oil worse yesterday after I got home from work... I don't want a blown motor, so I will be spedning Saturday changing an oil pan gasket (hopefully that is the only problem)...

We're actually getting a decent sign-up at the moment. 44 people registered, 15 of them S2000s. Only 11 Miatas this time 'round.

I hated to informed you guys this, but there's a chance 50/50 i may not make it to this weekend autocross

My sister and her husband are planning on going out of town this weekend, and if they do then i had got to stay back and looking after our business. They may not go since they heard that i am planning on going to the autocross this weekend. But i felt bad and wouldn't be fair for them since they did planning the trip before me ,beside.. they are the BOSS!

Like i say, my chance is 50/50 and i don't know untill friday evening on whether i can make it or not. But if i can't make it....you guys have fun out there and hopefully i will make it to the next ones.

Thank you guys for all the advises and making me feel so welcome and comfortable before going to the autocross.

Woot! Got the new toy home from Nationals in one piece yesterday. Since I haven't had time to clean her up, she'll still be covered in vinyl and big fat Kansas bugs on Saturday morning.

But she'll be fast.

West - Tuesday is Iain's run group -- stiff competition!
East - Thrusday looks to be Clovis's run group...

AStock has an S2k in 2nd after a C4 Vette...next year w/ the GXP in place, it'll be fun to see how the classes will be shakened up.
