I had a good time for the THREE runs I got to do. Stupid car threw a CEL, then after I reset the ECU the DSC/TSC went crazy and then I packed all my stuff up. Halfway down 180 I stopped and restarted the car and SURPRISE, no warning lights and the car seems to actually pull HARDER than ever. I read that it's common to have a misfire CEL, but the car seems fine so far *crosses fingers*

Definitely a nice break from the heat. Another great course! We even had a rally-style dirt/mud/grass section

I've said over and over we simply have to have a code or formula for scheduling these events. We SAY it's going to be on X day but we really know it's going to by on Y. That way we fool Mother Nature.

Isn't it great that rain was an issue again?!

I just wish it was enough rain to have actually done some good.

While all of you were out having fun I was chugging along on a tractor. Unfortunately I didn't get enough rain to even wash the dust off. I can still see individual drop marks in the dust.

I went out to TMS yesterday evening to hang out with a few friends (since I wasn't allowed to run without an aftermarket rollbar) and about 30 minutes after I get there they made the annoucement to postpone the event for a later time in August or early September. People actually clapped. It was definitely the right decision to make as the track was wet, it was raining, and there was thunder and lightning everywhere.

There was major hardware out there that people didn't want to get messed up. GT2, 550+hp 996 Turbos, a new RS4, several Z06's (both C5 and C6), Elise, NSX, blah, blah, blah.

Thanks to Clovis and turbolane for getting the course set up.
Thanks to Doug for handling registration while I set up timing and EgoThreat was handling a broken AC back at home.
Thanks to Clovis and QUICKAG for letting me do some laps in their cars.
Cosmos, glad to hear your troubles were temporary.
Nivek, what happened with the Integra?
Thanks to Doug for letting turbolane drive his car, AATees for letting svann dirve his car, and all the other car sharing - great community, people.

Yeah, I was glad that Rick decided to reschedule the event. At least next time we can have 5 sessions in a 6 hrs span.

I loved that course, was able to concentrate on my driving more with little to no shifting.

Also thanks to everybody that helped clean up...

By the time I got to eat my feet were swollen and bruised from getting my socks damp earlier that day... and the sad thing is I had an extra pair of socks with me that I forgot about. I can hardly walk today

Yet somehow it's still worth it

Big thanks to Clovis, who helped me with my first autocross, Lauren and Altiain for the deal on the helmet, Stephan (sp??) for taking care of my shredded tire and getting me home alive, and Lane for the quick hook-up on the new rears. What a day-don't know what the hek I would have done on my own. Had a lot of fun, and will be much faster next time. Thanks again.
