I just wanted to thank all of the folks that made this event happen. A few special thank you's to Clovis, Turbolane, Elistan, and EgoThreat. I know that I had a good time. I hope everyone else did as well.
+1

It was an excellent course. Although, I did rethink going in the morning because of the heat, it was well worth it!

Thanks!

From what I heard and saw it seems like everyone had a great time today. I'd like to offer a big thanks to Turbolane who helped me setup the course Saturday evening. It was so nice to arrive this morning with it all setup.

Without putting too much of a damper on the fun I want to say the organizers were VERY dissapointed in the turnout for this event. At the end of the day almost 1/2 of the registered drivers were no-shows. That just isn't acceptable considering the economics of putting on an event like this. ESPECIALLY considering how many potential drivers we had to turn away during pre-registeration. We will be making some changes to the pre-registration system shortly to make sure this doesn't happen again. Sorry for the short rant...

Thanks to everyone who did show up. 10 runs on the 75+ second course was great. I hope everyone enjoyed the layout.

10 freaking runs! Now I am really pissed I missed out. Looks like I might have been the only competition for you in other R Clovis? Well maybe I could be competition for you, depends on the course design since our cars are so different.

I am afraid to admitt it since I was less than impressive in time today, but yes, I drove the black Gen2 Integra... and I hope you guys will be seeing it out more often... I think I can run this car without it breaking (stupid Subaru).

The course was very nice... and more important, maybe, the day was a beautiful day to be out racing. When I got home at 5pm, the temp was 95 with a humidity of 20%... so it actually felt cooler (92) than it was. The nice breeze in the afternoon made working the course a joy instead of feeling like we were standing on the world's largest brick fired pizza oven.

I would think the Acura is more reliable than the Subie. Then again, I broke a motor mount on my second run after lunch, so go figure... I probably had another 1-2 tenths in me. Couple that with a cotter pin jettisoning from my floor jack in the morning, rendering it useless, and it makes for a perfect auto-x #1 for me this season.

Had a great time. Hope to be able to make it to the rest of the events this year.
