Hey there everybody,
We really appreciate the good turnout for registration, hope no one is discouraged by our run of bad luck with the weather gods. Unfortunatly we don't hold sway with Mother Nature... but look at it this way... as my wise flight instructor once told me in regards to weather...
It's always better to wish you could be out flying, than wishing you were on the ground!
(And man thunderstorms sure can get nasty around here...)
Now I just hope it rains cats & dogs tomorrow so we all can be glad we stayed home
Looking forward to seeing you at our next event...

So now that this event has been cancelled. Is anyone besides me suffering a severe case of needing some track time? If so I was thinking of going to Hallett next weekend March 25th. Anybody want to go? A friend with a new Z06 currently has plans to go as well as a couple of his friends, 2 in Vipers, 1 in a Ford GT. If nothing else it will be fun to watch. I think it is $95 for 5 sessions plus you have to buy a COMMA membership which is $35. Any takers? If nobody else wants to go I probably will anyway.

Yeah, I'm jonesin' for some speed as well. We're planning on the April 1&2 event as MSR however...
For future reference, though - do they provide instructors?

Hey candyass - have you ever run at Hallet? If not, you might want someone with some experience to ride along with you during your first session. Hallet is a lot more technical than MSR, TMS, or TWS, with much greater elevation changes and a few blind corners. There also isn't a whole lot of runoff room.
Don't get me wrong - Hallet is my favorite track in this area of the country, but it demands some respect and skill to drive safely. I would certainly want to have an instructor or ride along with another veteran for a session before I went solo up there for the first time.

Good call!
Here it is almost 10:00 and according to the radar Mineral Wells is getting pounded. I am sitting here pretty dry in Richardson, but all the weather is over MW and that area.
