Getting wet is what I was thinking, but seeing those pics and not seeing corner workers made me start to think about safety. Where do they stand when a car could come out of nowhere?
Special considerations must be taken because all the usual places may not be adequate since spins and lack of car control can happen at unusual places on the track.

Death Race 2000 hmmm, that has a nice ring to it.
I have a daughter in the process of developing a tv series with a carguy connection. Maybe we can work this in. Everyone bring their cameras so we can get some good video. Who knows it might even work well on Americas Funniest Videos!

The pictures and videos were during down pore (the only one we've experience out there in 5 years of doing this). Corner workers were called in and we went to a fun run type format.
I'd suggest a rain jacket and pants for the day just in case. I've managed to stay nice and dry at all rain events since I picked up a cheapo set from Academy. Cost was about $40.

Yeah... I should've probably clarified... No corner workers were soaked in the making of that video. Just some poor soul (probably Elistan) who braved the wet to wave cars on to the course.

I love it!
I went to weather.com to see if the forcast had changed any (it hadn't) and out beside the forcast for Saturday it had a link that said "Get Tips for Driving in the rain"

I don't think anyone with cold air braved the wet... Couple Miatas, couple stock-ish S2K's and a rental Oldsmobile... But... in the words of Dick Vitale, "It's water inJECTION, Babyyyy!"

Unfortunatley i won't be there...just too much to do with my impending move and trying to prep the S prior to the MSR DE event. Bring your Gortex and an umbrella...should be loads of fun. and think of the time you'll save not having to switch to R compounds.
