I'm a sissy and I hate the cold so I'm going to sit it out no matter what is decided.

I am so ready for summer!!!!

100 is better than 40 any day!!

Rain and cold isn't so bad when you're driving etc but how are you supposed to stand there and work corners for an hour when it's 38 and you're soggy. Also aren't the radios, timing equipment which has to be plugged into a generator liable to get fried in the rain?

Given the weather outlook, freezing rain, I'm out.

I'm pretty sure freezing rain will cause the event to be rescheduled due to transit danger. Rain and 40ish isn't bad, however, if you have the appropriate personal gear

Don't be soggy. Go buy one of those full rain suits from Wal-Mart for $10. They come with a handy bag that you can store them in (once you let them dry out, first) . Get some good water-resistant gloves, too. If you have galoshes or something, that would be swell, but I don't know of a lot of people in TX that own those.

Bring some sort of dry-bag or an empty water-tight cooler or something so you can store a couple pairs of dry socks (and maybe a dry t-shirt or something, too) in them and maybe an extra pair of shoes for the drive home (wet feet are the most annoying thing to me).

You guys have fun out there.

Yowza. Wintery mix? Sure wish Enterprise rented Evos....

Have to admit we've been spoiled with some pretty nice SoCal weather (# of days of 65+ F weather) this winter. Unless the forecast improves, I'll pass on dodging rolled over SUVs to/from the gravel pit that we know & love as MW.

If anyone's taking votes on re-scheduling, I'm all about trying for a different weekend. Wishing you guys a safe event....

Thanks,
Stanford

You guys are a bunch of weenies.

Status thread has been posted HERE

Weather changes quick in Texas so let's wait until tomorrow before we make any decisions. BTW, if you are for sure bailing now go ahead take yourself off the registraion list. Some of you need the practice.

FWIW, the next available date in Mineral Wells is the third week in March.

Apparently you haven't been watching the same weather map I have been seeing.

About the only thing that can change based upon what I've been seeing all week is:

WHEN will it hit Friday.
HOW MUCH (NOT IF) rain/freezing precip we'll have &/or
HOW COLD will it get.

It ain't gonna get warm that's for sure
