Well, the two autocrosses I've done with the S2000, I won the 1st one (in my class) and got second behind Stanford in the other. I was .341 behind Stanford and his turbo S2000, so that was where my original joking comment came about the meticulous preparation and thought Stanford does before an autocross.

Now, this two second thing has me confused unless I was in my C5 on the runflats or something a long time ago?

Oh well, razzing is healthy.

I think the reference was to Clovis helping me dial in suspension settings on my S at the last auto-x. We had our times pulled from the results to avoid biasing any end-of-year points series, but if memory serves he ran fast time of the day, on street tires in a borrowed car that was having suspension settings and tire pressures changed run-to-run. I rode with him on one of those runs and learned tons.

Yep, Clovis clarified the situation for me. Apparently all that go-kart training paid off for him.

Hey Stanford, You guys planning on coming up for the 18th? I'll probably be out be there but just to warn everyone ahead of time my wheels are STILL on order. Tire Rack is saying mid-March. If they don't come by then I'm going to Lotus and buying a second stock set for $2,500.

Or maybe it's those all important course planning walks I go on with Stanford. He will be sorely missed this year at SCCA evnets, that's for sure.

Anyways, sorry for the thread hi-jack guys.

No doubt on the virtues of karting - Clovis was the Man before karts and now he's even better. Very fun to ride with & watch how far down the course he looks.

Yep, I'm planning to come up there. Not sure if I'll be on the 615s or my new-old-stock S04s if Sondra brings a pit vehicle. After seeing Drew's '06 with that pretty Comptech bar, I'm in the market for one of those soon.

Sounds like the Lotus is getting the full Clovis Dial-in treatment. Can't wait to see that thing abuse the laws of physics out there.

Yee Haaaaw, The trash talk has started.... hey Clovis, If you have time at this event It might be interesting to see what you can do in the C6. My new wheels CCW Corsairs (18X10 Front and 18X11 rear) with RA1's 275/35 and 305/35 should be on by next week. They should provide enough stick that a gifted driver might be able to lay down FTD. I'll probably be lucky just to get close to the AWD turbo econoboxes..... Lookout, american muscle coming through........

Clovis, I'll be there and I sure hope you take mine arround to see what it can really do. But I'll probable have the boost turned down to "only" about 400 whp. Maybe on some fun runs I'll crank it up to over 500.
